1/10/07 McQuoid’s Inn &
Angler’s Paradise Fishing Report
The perch bite has picked up in a couple
locations but seemed to slow in most areas. The majority of the perch
have been found in 12-14 feet of water. A few jumbos have been caught
or viewed on camera in deeper water. The walleye bite has been good for
some and not for others. The theme is they are being viewed on the
camera but will not bite. We believe this is due to the large amount of
bait fish in the lake. The walleyes that have been caught are extremely
healthy. Down size your bait and use a small hook on a set line to
increase your walleye success.
12/26/07 McQuoid’s Inn &
Angler’s Paradise Fishing Report
The perch bite continues to roll on in
10-12 feet of water. There is a large population of perch in the bay in
front of Angler’s Paradise. A
few jumbos are being caught everyday. There are a ton of 7-8 inch perch
being taken as well. The walleyes have increased their activity as of
late in 10-16 feet of water. We have seen a lot of walleyes on the
camera. The evening and overnight bite has produced the most walleyes.
A few big northern pike are being caught as well. Most customers are
referring to them as bonus fish.
12/16/07 McQuoid’s Inn &
Angler’s Paradise Fishing Report
The fishing was really good this weekend.
The shallow areas, in 10-12 feet of water, produced an abundant amount
of jumbo perch this weekend. Small jigs tipped with wax worms seemed to
produce the most fish. These same areas produced some nice walleyes
(18-26 inches) later in the day and early in the morning. A few nice
northern pike were caught as well.
12/13/07 McQuoid’s Inn & Angler’s
Paradise Fishing Report
The shallow areas are continuing to produce
fish in 10 -14 feet of water. The weed edges continue to produce the
most perch and northerns. Walleyes are being
taken as well but seem to bite better at dusk and dawn over the past
two days.
12/11/07 McQuoid’s Inn &
Angler’s Paradise Fishing Report
There were plenty of anglers out in the bay
this weekend and early this week. The best bite for jumbo perch has
been in 10-12 feet of water on the weed edges. Some nice walleyes have
been taken in 12-15 feet of water on the weed edges and transition
areas. The biggest walleye caught over the weekend was 26 inches. Some
nice 18 inch eaters were caught as well.
12/5/07 McQuoid’s Inn &
Angler’s Paradise Fishing Report
The fishing reports are few and far between
as the ice conditions continue to improve. A few perch have been taken
out of Isle
Bay the last
couple days.
