Jeff Hanson
Jeff is one of our best guides. His strengths are his intensity, determination and being a hard worker. Fishing all that he can every summer, Jeff is sure to know where the fish are!
He began professional guiding in 1998, after being involved in the field for five years. Jeff is on the Pro Teams of both Mercury Marine, and Northland Fishing Tackle.
In 2001 Jeff appeared on ESPNs Casting Crew and in the Pioneer Presss Meet the Guide. He has also had some articles published.
His favorite fish are walleye or smallmouth. His specialty is livebait rigging or spot on the spot bobber fishing. He is accomplished at open water crankbait trolling and pulling spinners as well.
A highlight of guiding for Jeff is seeing clients have a great day of fishing and being the one to help them possibly catch their biggest fish ever!
His accomplishments include:
- 2000 8th place: Macs Twin Bay Couples Tournament
- 2000 9th place: Hunters Point Invitational Walleye Tournament
- 2000 10th place: Red Door Tournament
- 1999 3rd place: Hunters Point Invitational Walleye Tournament
- 1998 3rd place: Red Door Tournament (after leading on the 1st day)
- 1998 18th place: Hunters Point Tournament
Jeff is also currently attending college and hopes to one day make a living as a professional angler. He is from Princeton, MN, and his hobbies include fishing, hunting, hockey and snowmobiling.
