Fishing Report July 7/7/15
The fishing has still been awesome. Both our launches and guide trips have been catching good numbers of fish!
Walleye action has been good on the mud and deep gravel. Anglers have been rigging and bobber fishing with leeches and it has been producing good numbers of fish! Spinner action has slowed but, anglers have also been starting to pick up fish on crank baits. Look off the edges of deep structure and work to the top.
Anglers have also been picking up some nice jumbo perch in the same areas.
If you’re looking for Smallmouth action start in 8-10 feet of water in rocky areas. These fish are still hanging out off the rocky reef edges and boulder areas. Plastics like tubes have been working well in darker colors like black or pumpkin-seed. Anglers have also still been picking up some good sized walleye this way.
The pike have been active on the weed lines in the bays. Cast your favorite spoon or spinnerbait and you won’t have to wait long for action. The Muskie bite has slowed down but, we are expecting it to pick up as the water warms some more.
